If the seats on the airplane looked like anything, it was a cross between chaise lounge chairs and a sun bed used for self tanning. We had bought two very expensive tickets to London for myself and my wife to celebrate our 40th anniversary. We boarded the plane and really felt as if we were either lottery winners or flying in the future. Alas, the service on board was very 21st century, and not in the best way, so that did its best to bring us back to earth again.
